There are tons of fluid being transported through a secured and safe pipeline system. But, the flow is controlled by a mechanism. This control of flow accurately is done with the help of valves.

A valve is a tool or equipment that regulates, controls, or directs the flow of a fluid by opening, closing, or partially blocking fluid flow. Valves help to regulate the flow and pressure of fluid within a system.

Gate valve

Globe valve

Globe valve is generally used to stop, start, and regulate fluid flow. Globe Valves are used in systems where flow control, as well as leak management, is crucial. Globe valves are costlier than gate valves.

Check Valve

The check valve prevents backflow in the piping system through an automatic mechanism. The check valve has a self-activated mechanism where the pressure of the fluid passing through a pipeline opens the valve, while any reversal of flow will close the valve.

Plug Valve

Plug valves control flow using tapered or cylindrical plugs. The valve allows only a quarter-turn rotary motion. Plug valves are the best when tight shutoff is essential, and these are reliable in high-pressure or high-temperature environments.

Ball Valve

Ball valves have quick-acting 90-degree turn handles for easy on-off control to regulate the flow. These are one of the choicest options as they are faster and easier to operate than gate valves.

Butterfly valve

A Butterfly valve is a quarter-turn rotary motion valve used to stop, regulate, and start the flow. Butterfly Valve is the best option for large valve applications as it is lightweight in design and requires considerably less space than other valves.

Needle valve

Needle valves and globe valves are similar in design. The slight variation is the sharp needle-like disk that is absent in a globe valve. These valves are used in small diameter piping systems when fine and accurate flow control is required.

Pinch Valve

The pinch valve is otherwise known as clamp valve. Pinch Valve is ideally suited for the handling of slurries, liquids with large amounts of suspended solids. It uses a pinch mechanism to start, stop and control the flow.

Pressure Relief Valve

These valves are spring-automated and used to protect the piping system. This valve helps to return to the desired pressure during overpressure events.
